Just wanted to mention though that you guys were part of the lucky bunch that actually get a warning. A large amount of tourists in Durban don't get any warning at all and things are covered up by governmen, I'm talking about attacks on tourists and the like. In response to all of this we launching a security and travel information service for people coming to Durban, it will be up early next year, been in the workings for about 11 months now. We hope to help people to become alert to the danger areas and enjoy the more "safer" areas if possible. We will be expanding to other cities soon briefing businessmen, tourism, embassies, delegates etc. Just thought I'd let you know that the police presence isn't always there, it's there for big conferences and after that... bye bye, they disappear. Es wurde offensichtlich, dass ein thematischer Zugang und nicht eben ein disziplinärer einen großen Reiz hat - vor allem unter den zumeist jungen Zuhörern Zuhörerinnen. Unklarheit bestand über die Definition und Abgrenzung des Themas - wahrscheinlich auch weil die Idee für die meisten Anwesenden neu war und die wissenschaftliche Diskussion nicht bekannt. Ich denke wir haben mit der Session einen Nerv getroffen und hoffe, dass das Thema und der theoretisch-methodische Rahmen in irgendeiner Weise auch in der DGS fortgeführt werden kann.
